(cv Fastigiata) The maze at Van Dusen Gardens in Vancouver BC, with a monkey-puzzle tree in the centre. When young, lazy maze-runners damaged many sections. The mature maze is now 7 feet tall, and entirely reinforced with green chain-link fence to prevent short-cutting. Two platforms within the maze allow you to poke your head up and plan your route.

HELP!!! I HAVE A VERY OLD HEDGE OF THESE AROUND OUR SWIMMING POOL. THE TRUNKS ARE BARE! (DUE TO POOL CHEMICAL VAPORS WE THINK). THE PROBLEM IS TWOFOLD. THE BARE TRUNKS (UGLY) AND THE TOWERING HEDGE. WILL PRUNING LOWER FORCE THE GROWTH DOWNWARD ON THE TRUNKS? OR SHOULD WE JUST START OVER(UGH)?
