Grows to about 2' tall by August when it shoots up to 3-4' and begins to bloom. The leaves are dark green and glossy, attractive except when damaged by bugs. Hummingbirds love these. Easy from seed, blooming the second year.

A real eye-catcher in the formal border. This planting at Stanley Park in Vancouver in front of the historic Dining Pavilion; probably the popular cultivar 'Queen Victoria'.
