Rather weedy-looking but thrives in my zone 5 western PA bog garden. Grows to about 5 feet, so I find I must tie it up or else it sprawls after a rain. I use it for its medicinal properties and edible flowers. Hardy & self-sows readily.

I find this plant to be an adorable addition to the garden. The plant cheerfully returns and multiples for me in zone 7.

Our next door neighbor has bright scarlet marsh mallow that are magnifcent; ours are of the plain variety (pink and white)
