This tree does extremely well in the high desert area of New Mexico where it is exposed to intense, full sun at an altitude of 5,300 feet, sparse rainfall, and alkaline soil. I have two varieties on our property. One is a very small fruit, about 1/2-1" in length. The other one has fruit about two inches in length. Both are delicious and are loved by Asians as well as myself.
