Images and Opinions of Clematis 'Nelly Moser' from GardenWeb Members| Bug_Girl - Z10 Sunset 17 | Flower Close Up | This plants grows very well and will increase in size each year. Do not over prune in the fall. If it is happy, it could have a second bloom cycle in the late summer or early fall. I was surprised to notice this year 2004, to get my first second bloom cycle. | Ratings| overall | 10 | | how easy | 9 | | flower | 9 | | foliage | 6 | | propagate | n/a | | fragrance | n/a |

| Nora_in_Vancouver - 8b Wet Coast | June 8, 2004 (Vancouver BC) | Note to self: Check up on this one next year! A whimsical front-entrance planting; I don't know if they plan to keep this in a pot here ... | |

| diggerdave - 4b/5a Montana | Cold weather blooms | This photo is not normal. The cold spring of 2003 produced blooms without a dark central bar on the petals. Thought it was interesting though. Nelly has been a good clematis for 2 years and I expect even better the coming third year. | Ratings| overall | 8 | | how easy | 9 | | flower | 8 | | foliage | 8 | | propagate | n/a | | fragrance | 4 |

| cgambrell - 8 GA | bareroot (nelly moser) | Can I go ahead and plant this bare root nelly moser or should I wait? | |
| benview - z6b BC | worth the wait | I must not have a green thumb when it comes to clematis. It took me a few years to have it bloom. I have it intwined with a climbing rose and not knowing dusted my roses and killed the buds of the nelly moser But after a long wait I had some beautiful blooms. | Ratings| overall | 2 | | how easy | 5 | | flower | 5 | | foliage | 10 | | propagate | n/a | | fragrance | 3 |

| A bit finnicky about where it is located - definitely likes full sun, but needs cool, moist, well drained soil for it's root. I find that it flowers best if not overly fertilised. It gives a huge display in late spring, early summer, and manages a smaller display in September. It produces a scattered bloom here and there for the rest of the season. | Ratings| overall | 8 | | how easy | 8 | | flower | 9 | | foliage | 7 | | propagate | 6 | | fragrance | 1 |
