Cold weather blooms	This photo is not normal. The cold spring of 2003 produced blooms without a dark central bar on the petals. Thought it was interesting though. worth the wait	I must not have a green thumb when it comes to clematis. It took me a few years to have it bloom. I have it intwined with a climbing rose and not knowing dusted my roses and killed the buds of the nelly moser But after a long wait I had some beautiful blooms. 	A bit finnicky about where it is located - definitely likes full sun, but needs cool, moist, well drained soil for it's root. I find that it flowers best if not overly fertilised. It gives a huge display in late spring, early summer, and manages a smaller display in September. It produces a scattered bloom here and there for the rest of the season.
