Coreopsis rosea
'Heaven's Gate' closeup
I love that the deer do not touch this! Alongside my yellow Coreopsis 'moonbeam,' I have had two pink Coreopsis: 'American Dream' and 'Heaven's Gate.' They did not tolerate my challenging site (hot, dry, poorly drained heavy clay) as well as the yellow one, which flourished. 'Heaven's Gate' did not last the first winter, but was so lovely I want another to try again.

Coreopsis rosea
This plant tends to spread quickly but still is a pleasure to have in the garden. It is a great "front of the border" plant, but it is known to get a little floppy after summer thunderstorms. It may benefit from staking or plant supports.

I have 4 pink-toned Coreopsis: rosea, rosea nana (shorter), American Dream, and Sweet Dreams. The roseas are solid rose-pink with a yellow center, the "Dreams" are both two-toned flowers. All bloomed July-Sept in my yard.
