Glycyrrhiza lepidota 4/24/12. First attempt to grow from rhizome, although I haven't grown from seed yet and plan not too. Joelx415@aol.com

Native to the prairie and aspen parkland eco-regions of Alberta, and widespread in North America. It flowers from June to July. The seed pods form in early August and persist through the winter. The seeds are pea-like. The plant has a rather sprawling habit, but can reach 3 feet tall and form large colonies.
