We began mixing these into our ecolawn, and had fantastic results.

I grew a great clump of sweet violets from one small bought plant. Very easy culture, under a great oak in rich acid soil. I use the leaves of this and the wild violets as a medicinal, and the small flowers as cake and candy decorations. I have had to move and will need another start soon.

I transplanted a few from my father-in-law's sandy, shady yard, where they grew but did not flourish. My yard has rich soil, sun, and water. Yikes! They are taking over! This is a great ground cover if you have a lot of room. Would be perfect in a woodland setting, next to streams, etc.

Early and easy to grow, with a wonderfull fragance. Love to grow in under trees and bushes, where they get a little sunshine in spring.
