What do these terms mean?

Remarks:
A yarrow with aromatic foliage that is finely cut, white flowers on top of 5 to 7 inch tall plants. A rock garden subject for the scree bed-not easy but if given a moisture retentive soil in full sun, its worth the space. Short lived on rich soils. Native from the central Alps. Zones 5-8.
