Remarks: My corn plant had 2 shoots coming off it. They were doing very well. Within the last 2 days, those 2 shoots started to like rot. I cut them off the rest of the plant & cut off the rotten part & put it in water. Will it grow roots in water or does it need to go straight into the dirt? Please help soon. I don't want the 2 shoots to grow.
