Remarks:
Very difficult (but not impossible) to grow in marine climate (e.g. Pacific Northwest). Will not thrive in clay - add a mixture of sand and topsoil, perhaps a 3:2 ratio. Slow grower, needs little attention once established. Easy propagation by division.
