Remarks:
I grow this shrub as an ornamental but it can also be grown as a protective hedge against animal or human trespassers. Some of the thorns measure 2 inches long. It is a deciduous shrub with palmate leaves usually having 3 leaflets. Flowers are white and the fruit is dull yellow. The rootstock is used for various citrus species.
